In the late 1960's two naval architects (David Freeman and Gordon Wyatt) were searching the UK for a GRP motor sailer; a boat like that of the Scandinavian designs which did both sailing and motoring properly and were frustrated that nothing matched their (fairly exacting) standards. The LM 28 is a motor-sailor designed by Bent Juul Anderson. 325 were built between 1982 and 1991 by the Danish yard LM Glasfiber A/S.
Lazy Mariner was built in 1985 and is a fine example of Scandinavian quality boat building.
The teak interior of Lazy Mariner is both innovative as it is vast and is comparable to yachts over 3 or 4 feet longer.
The interior comprises of a wheelhouse/galley, vast main cabin with hanging locker starboard and heads to port plus a generous double berth in the fore cabin. On top of that there is a good size cockpit with a full canopy and collapsible dining table.
