Laurent Giles Peter Duck built by Porter and Haylett in 1964. The Peter Duck is well known for its connection to Arthur Ransome, the very first one being designed for the writer by Laurent Giles just after the war. In 1961 the design was revived, altered a little and a total of 38 boats were built up until 1970 by Porter and Haylett Ltd of Wroxham. Casuella is a very pretty Laurent Giles ketch. Built in 1964 by Porter and Haylet of Wroxham Norfolk her traditional accommodation gives a very cosy feel. Casuella is in good structural condition having had extensive work carried out over the last few years. This work has included stripping the deck and repairing various timbers. The deck and coachroof have been replaced with new ply and epoxy sheathed. The keel bolts have been pulled and inspected by the surveyor and found to be in good condition.
