The Quicksilver Activ range of cruising powerboats have a wide ranging appeal, from the 455 open runabout to the 905 Weekender, they seem to have a boat for everyone. The First 40.7 was initially designed by Bruce Farr in 1999 and very quickly gained popularity with nearly 700 produced in total. Built for C Thomas Clagett Jr, an American businessman in 1976, this 72' ketch has had a fascinating history! Built at Derecktor Shipyard (known as America's most accomplished boatbuilder), her early life was spent around Florida and the Bahamas where having a centreboard made cruising that area accessible for a large yacht.
